The Huayan Temple, originally known as “Huayan Temple,” is nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Laoshan, enveloped by mountains on three sides and facing the vast expanse of the sea to the east. With its simple yet elegant architectural design, the temple exudes a sense of majesty and tranquility.

As one of the largest Buddhist temples in Laoshan, the Huayan Temple spans an expansive area of 4,000 square meters, featuring a construction area of 2,000 square meters and comprising over 120 individual structures. Its layout consists of a four-entry courtyard, providing a harmonious and spacious environment for visitors and worshippers alike.

Originally constructed in its present form in 1999, the Huayan Temple boasts a distinctive wooden architecture characterized by double eaves and bucket arches. The entire structure exudes an aura of grandeur and nobility, reflecting the timeless essence of Buddhist philosophy and the unique characteristics of the “Lotus Tibetan World,” symbolizing the boundless expanse of the Huayan Daqian World.
