Anshun Bridge, known as the “Bridge of Peace and Propitiousness” in Chinese, stands beside Hejiang Pavilion along the Funan River (Jin River) and boasts a rich history dating back to 1746 during the Yuan Dynasty. Notably, it left a lasting impression on Marco Polo during his travels to China, earning its place among the four bridges that deeply impressed him.

Despite facing ravages from floods over the years, Anshun Bridge underwent reconstruction in 2003 to replace the older structure built in the 1980s. Spanning 81 meters in length and 6 meters in width, the bridge features the distinctive architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The handrail of Anshun Bridge is adorned with intricate carvings depicting traditional Chinese folk culture, including motifs such as plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. These elements serve as a testament to the bridge’s cultural significance and historical charm.

Additionally, the bridge pier is adorned with two statues of water beasts, believed in ancient Chinese folklore to suppress floods. Flanking the bridge are archaize memorial archways, adding to the bridge’s architectural grandeur and reflecting the essence of Chinese architectural style.
