Itinerary Quick Look
Your English speaking guide and private car will pick you up in your hotels’ lobby. Hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle. Heading directly to Juyongguan Great Wall (About 60minutes drive).
Juyongguan Pass served as a strategic military stronghold and was the site of many battles. The ancient pass was originally built in the Han Dynasty (220-206 BC) as a fortification, and later rebuilt to link it to the Great Wall of China. The circular pass is complete with supporting facilities, including a city tower, watch tower and a meeting place for the emperor. Accompanied by your tour guide, you will spend about 2 hours at Juyongguan Great Wall.
After lunch. Move on to the Ming tombs. Ming Tombs mainly means thirteen tombs of Ming Dynasty which are scattered at the foot of Tianshou Mountain. Listed in World Cultural Heritages by UNESCO, Ming Tombs shows impressive natural landscape and historical significance. Dingling was built in 1590. Emperor Shen Zong and the empress were buried there in 1620. Now, Dingling Tomb is the hottest among the thirteen for it is the only Ming imperial tomb excavated so far. Stroll around the area with your tour guide, admire the antiques in the the museums and discover the secrets of the Underground Palace.
