I traveled last week to China, with only a few weeks notice for business. Since it was business trip, my schedule was extremely fluid, and I did not have a firm schedule until 2 days before my arrival in China.
This is where Beijing Driver came in, this was my FIRST TIME to China and I wanted to maximize by 1.5 days of free time before my business schedule kicked into full gear. I reached out to Beijing Driver for information and a quote, I had done NO research in what sites I wanted to see, and not knowing what my exact schedule was going to be foe the days I was going to be there.
The response was immediate, with a suggested scheduled based on my limitations, there were two things that really set them apart. The flexibility of the itinerary, and something I would find out later, the quality of people providing the tour.
I was traveling by myself, and the ability to have a tour guide and a driver that were totally flexible with what you wanted to do felt like no other experience I have ever taken part in. It was wonderful, the driver knew how to get to places, even during a busy Chinese holiday (Chinese labor day), he found a way to get me to the sites in a quick manner, but most importantly, I ALWAYS felt safe.
The tour guide was Rui Jie AKA Becky. She was highlight of the tour and what really rounded out the experience. She was very responsive, spoke great english, and adjusted the tour on the fly to my taste, providing recommendations, but also be conscious of what were my preferences.
At the end of it all, I was in love with Beijing, its sites, its history. I had a very tough work schedule over the next week that brought me to Nanjing, and then Hong Kong, all over period of 5 days, but the 1.5 days I spent on this tour before all this started really made a tough week easy. I still have a smile on my face.
I would not hesitate recommending Beijing driver to anyone. There would absolutely be no way that I could have enjoyed Beijing as much as did if not for Becky, 100 stars.
