My friend and I toured with Qing and her husband Chen (who was the driver) for a 2-day Beijing Tour on April 8 and 9. I originally contacted Qing based on the excellent reviews that she had received on Trip Advisor and the detailed information on her website. She returned my initial contact e-mail within a day and communicated very efficiently with me between the time I made the reservation and when I arrived in Beijing. In fact, I realized that my dates were incorrect and she quickly rebooked us for the correct dates. Here driver met us at the airport and got us to our hostel which was kind of hidden in a hutong very quickly – which was much appreciated since it was 2 in the morning.
Qing met us on time everyday and provided us excellent details about the sites we saw both before and during our visits. She was very patient and let us look at the sites either as quickly or leisurely as we wanted – but she also gently reminded us that we were on a schedule. She was extremely helpful in giving us advice on how much we should pay for our purchases. The lunches and dinner that were included in the package were from local restaurants that served delicious meals. She was willing to make side trips for us to get instant coffee, an iPhone charger, and various souvenirs that were outside the standard itinerary. She did not push us to go to any shopping venues and did not push us or hurry us. Qing speaks excellent English and we were given an excellent overview of Beijing in our 2 days with her. In addition, both she and Chen were fun – they seemed to be genuinely interested in us and we all got a chance to know each other.
I would highly recommend her for your trip to Beijing. We did not worry about anything during our time with her and felt like we got great value for the money we paid. In fact, my son will be going to China this summer and I will have him tour Beijing with Qing and Chen.
