According to different features of different sections of the Great Wall and different style of Great Wall hiking, we carefully designed several itineraries for your choices.

Mutianyu Great Wall Tours

Mutianyu served as the northern protective screen, protecting the capital and imperial tombs for generations. Mutianyu Great Wall is a masterpiece of restoration with 23 original-style watchtowers.

  • Open: All the year-round, 7:30 am–5:30 pm
  • Facilities: Cable cars or chair lifts up/down/ Toboggan
  • Suit to: All, especially family-friendly.

Badaling/Juyongguan Great Wall Tours

Badaling Great Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty (1505) to occupy a commanding and strategic position for protecting the Juyongguan Pass (Juyongguan section of the Great Wall) to its south, further protecting the city of Beijing.

  • Open: All the year-round, 7:00 am–5:30 pm
  • Facilities: Badaling: Cable cars ; Juyongguan no cable car
  • Suit to: All
  • Tip: Do not visit during the peak season

Jinshanling Great Wall Tours

Jinshanling Great Wall — Most Popular for Hiking and Photography. The Jinshanling Great Wall was initially built from 1368 to 1389 in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is 10.5 km (6.5 miles) long with 5 passes, 67 towers and 3 beacon towers.

  • Open: All the year-round, 8:00 am–5:30 pm
  • Facilities: Cable cars
  • Suit to: Hikers, Photographers, anyone who want to visit the Great Wall with no tourists.

Huanghuacheng Great Wall Tours

Huanghuacheng Great Wall is 11 kilometers long and joins with Mutianyu Great Wall in the east, and Juyongguan Pass and Badaling in the west. The main feature of the Huanghuacheng section is part of the Great Wall submerged in a lake.

  • Time from Beijing: about  1.5 hours drive.
  • Open: All the year-round, 8:00 am–5:30 pm
  • Facilities: No cable car
  • Tip: It may close due to the bad weather

Simatai Great Wall Tours

Listed as one of the representative sections of Great Wall at World Heritage Site, Simatai is the only ancient architectural site in China that retains the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty. It was designated as the "Primitive Great Wall" by UNESCO. A famous architect, once commented that, "China's Great Wall is the world's most, but Simatai section of the Great Wall is reputed as the most of China's Great Wall."

  • Open: All the year-round, 9:00 am–8:30 pm
  • Facilities: Cable car
  • Tip: Simatai now is part of Gubei Water Town, you have to enter Simatai Great Wall from Gubei.

Huangyaguan Great Wall Tours

Huangyaguan Great Wall is considered to be a miniature of the Great Wall of China. In this section, you can find the stone base built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 557) and the brick battlements laid in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).

  • Facilities: No cable car
