My girlfriend and I experienced one of the most comprehensive tours of our lives.
We were fortunate to have Qing, the founder, as our guide and we found her such a pleasure from beginning to end.
Qing met us at our hotel early in the morning where we began our journey to Tiananmen Square into the Forbidden City. The personalised nature of the tour allowed us to spend time in the areas we were most interested. No matter where we ventured, Qing’s extensive knowledge of Chinese history was well versed and added so much value to our sightseeing.
Following an in-depth four-hour trek through the Forbidden City, we began our food tour–though it was much more of an adventure than tour! Qing made it a point to expose us to a variety of different Chinese cuisines from all sorts of regions. Again, catering to our tastes and willingness for unique eats allowed us to shape the tour to our liking. Qing brought us to her childhood neighbourhood where we experienced the most authentic portion of the tour–a home-cooked meal in her mother’s hutong!
I highly recommend the Forbidden City tour followed by the food experience.
