I’m from San Francisco. I have been traveling to China for many years.
My first trip was to Beijing and I found Qing online. It was the trip of a lifetime thanks to Qing. She is deeply knowledgeable and very adept at tailoring the trip to a particular person’s needs and interests.
For example, I traveled with my 8 year old daughter and 73 year old mother. Qing knew shortcuts to avoid lines and minimize other challenges. She made it interesting for child and adult. I’m in a service industry and I know how important it is to value and understand the client. One size does not fit all. Qing understands this. Few tour guides, whether in Beijing or elsewhere, do.
I’ve traveled with Qing in Beijing as well as outside (e.g., Chengde and the Qing Tombs, beautiful though less traveled destinations for Beijing vacationers). She is highly knowledgeable and able to explain culture and history clearly and memorably. It’s astonishing how much she knows. It is remarkable how she is able to make it interesting and relevant whether speaking to a child or to a very educated professional with some background in Chinese history and culture.
Her English — written and spoken — is excellent. And in my many experiences, I have also found her husband to be not only an excellent and safe driver but a gentleman. Qing has a big and kind heart. She also has a wonderful and endearing sense of humor. She represents so much of what is lovable and beautiful about China, Beijing and its remarkable culture.
Make your trip to Beijing one to remember and a lifetime of happy memories. Go with Qing.
