See three of the most important attractions in the Beijing area in just one day with this private tour. You’ll start with a morning visit to Tian’anmen Square and then on to the adjacent Forbidden City, which operated as an imperial palace for almost five centuries under the Ming and Qing Dynasties. You’ll then head up to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China, stopping for lunch along the way, before returning to Beijing at the end of the day.

Itinerary Quick Look

Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, then begin your adventure from the Tian’anmen Square, home to the National Museum of China, and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes. Pass through the south gate to the magnificent 250-acre complex of the Forbidden City.

The Palace Museum was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Stroll around the courtyards and halls of the Forbidden city with your tour guide, and learn the histories and stories about this massive palace. You will visit these buildings inside the Forbidden City. Hall of Great Harmony where the emperor handle states affairs; Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian); Hall of Central Harmony and Hall of Preserving Harmony. Then continue to check out the living quarters in the palace: Hall of Union, Hall Heavenly Purity, Hall of Union and Hall of Earthly Tranquillity.Your tour of the Forbidden city will end at the Imperial Garden, then you will exit the Forbidden city from the north Gate.

Then heading north to the Badaling Great Wall. On the way you will make a short stop at the iconic “Birds’s Nest” for photos. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch.  In the afternoon, you will explore the most popular section of the Great Wall at Badaling. The Badaling Great Wall is one of the most important part of the Great Wall, this Great Wall was attached with great military importance. An old Chinese saying tells the crucial position of Badaling: if one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through. The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 m above sea level. Upon arrival, you will take the cable car up to the highest point where you can overlook the entire area and take some nice photos. Then spend 1 hour to hike up and down to explore various beacon and watch tower.

After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
